Took the eight-year college education path, starting at USC (yick) and finally graduating from Mills College (yes, it still is a women's college) in '97 with a degree in creative writing, literature, and history. Been living in the Bay Area since '93, been married since '95, have 2 cats and no kids. I work as a graphic designer, both through my own freelance business and as an on-site contractor. Currently doing my thing at Berkeley National Laboratory, and I'm starting a Master's program in the fall at SF State. In town? Drop me a line.

Instead of becoming famous I decided to do something meaningful with my life. After getting serious about God at UCLA, I became a campus minister first at SMC, then UCLA, and now I've crossed over the enemy tracks to lead the ministry at USC. My beautiful wife Lori and I have one son named Jake, born in 1997. We live in the pearl of the oyster that is called South Central and we love our work. I was thrilled to see you all at the reunion. I would enjoy hearing from any of you.
Since I last put my info in I had a daughter in April of '03 and her name is Juliet (after my mom 1941-2001). I also have two sons (Anthony 7 and Vincent 4. I own a house in Winnetka Ca. and just enjoying my children and my husband Joe. ANYONE!!! who want's to send me a line is always welcome.
After a lifetime on the Westside, I'm now living in the Valley (I know, I know...) with my wife Eiko and missing the cool Santa Monica summers! Still doing the cartoon thing: Recently finished an animated movie for Rob Zombie, currently a Character Designer for Nickelodeon. To see what I'm drawing these days, drop by my blog!
I live in the Bay area and work in downtown Berkeley as a graphic designer for an educational non profit designing online college courses.
After high school I went to San Diego State for 2 years. Then I studied abroad in Madrid and traveled arouned Europe. Then I went back to SMC for a year, and then somehow I got in to UC Berkeley (I slipped the dean a fiver). Went there for 2 years where I reunited with old drinking buddy and samo high alumni Ryan Alexiev. Finally got my BA in Latin American Studies and worked as a Graphic Designer for several years. Then I got tired of working for the man and bought a one way ticket to South America, where I was for 9 months wandering around learning about the world.
An here I am working side by side with Alexiev, designing web pages. Perhaps I will move to Barcelona.
I'm still running an architecture firm in LA, but I have continued to paint, write and create many other works. feel free to drop me a line anytime.
Just started my own swim team,Westside Aquatics, in Santa Monica. We practice at the new pool at Crossroads.

Jennifer('91) and I are celebrating 10 years of marriage, 15 years of being best friends and 4 kids later life has never been better.
I graduated from UCSD in '93 with a BS in biology and from USC in '96 with my masters degree in physical therapy. I got married in 1998. After being on the career path for a few years, I am now largely at home with my three beautiful kids: Nicholas (6), Matthew (4), and Caleigh (2 months). We have a wonderful life in Redondo Beach.
Hello fellow classmates. I'm still in Greensboro, NC with fiance Pete and my now 11yr old son. I miss Cali and the excitement. I plan to attend the class of '88 20yr reunion and ours. I know that's a couple of years away but if you have any info on the class of '88 please email me. Does anyone live even remotely close to The Carolinas. After UCLA I spent three years at the Milken Institute in Santa Monica as a research assistant. I've just finished my second year of law school at NYU. I'm planning on moving back to LA when I'm finished.
I recently moved to the San Diego area with my husband (Mike) and 2 year old (Jesse) after living in Northern California for the past 10 years. I am currently working as a Special Education teacher for blind and visually impaired children.
My wife Kristin and I are living in the Bay Area, but missing So Cal badly. We're the "Law and Order" couple, I'm a San Francisco police officer and she's a deputy District Attorney for San Mateo County. If anyone visits the Haight/Ashbury area, you might see me patroling (especially if it's in the middle of the night!). I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying life!
We all have taken our own paths in life since graduating from high school, and I just want to add that my decision not to have children has only enhanced my life, leaving me time to pursue hobbies and take classes after work and to do whatever I want whenever I want without the burden of having to take care of a child. I never have to deal with temper tantrums, babysitters, saving up for my child's college education, or any other costly, energy draining, and time consuming issues related to kids. With all of the hardships in the world and with the overpopulation problem, I am also proud to say that I never chose to have kids. There have never been any regrets by me that I didn't have kids. I truly do not have the desire to have children. With my free time, I plan to pursue more college degrees and hobbies and to do a lot of traveling and experiencing of life. I love my independence. Life has only gotten better since high school. I have had a wonderful college education and love the profession that I have chosen. Good luck to you all. I wish all of you the best. Maybe we will cross paths again someday, who knows.
I have been employed as a Case Worker with The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health for over three years now since earning a Masters Degree in Social Work a few years ago. I have future career aspirations to transfer to a woman's jail facility to work as a Forensic Mental Health Case Worker when there is an opening at DMH. I am certified as fluent in Spanish with The LA County Department of Mental Health and was able to pass the fluency examination all due to the junior high school and high school Spanish classes that I took.
I moved out of Los Angeles County and have a beautiful and spacious one-bedroom apartment with air conditioning just a few blocks from the beach. After studying Christianity for a few years and realizing that I would never want to become a Christian, I studied Orthodox Judaism for a few years, finding the Jewish Laws and customs fascinating. My one and only trip to Israel changed my life permanently, and I am now studying Islam, finding it very interesting as well and deciding whether to incorporate it into my life. I will soon be enrolled in an Arabic class and a Sign Language class during my free time. For a while, my main hobby was cooking, and I was taking a lot of cooking classes for some time, but have since lost interest (at least for now). I am keeping quite busy with my hobbies and am also pursuing a home study professional certification program as well which could lead to a new career, either full or part-time work in the evenings and/or on the weekends. Things have worked out well for me, and I may decide to pursue a Doctorate or some other degree of interest in the future.
My wife Krista and I just moved to Pacific Palisades. Krista teaches second grade in the Palisades and I continue to practice law for the City of Los Angeles. Recently I was promoted to be one of 18 special prosecutors in the City's new Neigberhood Prosecutor Program. Within days I was transferred out of downtown's City Hall and into my new "office" in the the LAPD Devonshire division. Now instead of going to court I spend my time "rolling" out into the field with officers to help sovle crime and investigate cases. Its an exciting challenge. I continue to socialize with my fellow alums, Afshin Hakim, Kevin Blank, David Drucker, Brandon Kashfian, Jordan Hoffman and Erik Kavalevsky. Hope everyone is well and happy! Peace.
I've been living in Washington, D.C. since the summer of 2005. Moved here to take a job covering national politics for a newspaper called "Roll Call". I can't believe they pay me to do this. Well, actually ...

We've been loving it up in Northern Cal for over 3 years now. I got my Masters in education last year and work at a nearby community college. Still raising two beautiful children ages 3 1/2 and 6 with my husband Eric. Love to hear from any old pals!
Hi guys. I missed the reunion but hopefully I can make the next one...I'm curious what everyone looks like now. My wife Krista and I have 3 kids (5, 7 and soon to be 9) and we have been married for almost 11 years now. We live outside of Houston, Texas where Krista grew up and have lived here since 1996. I am in the US Air Force now since my stint in the US Marine Corps ended and still enjoy the military but I do miss the Marine Corps. Krista is a real estate agent and is dabbling in investment now that all the kids are in school but remains around the home when the kids are here -for the kids’ mental well being of course-. I had planned on going into dentistry but God has indeed guided me differently and therefore I remain happily in the military...the only place that'll put up with me. We look forward to more of the same: working on steadily improving our marriage, raising the "crumb snatchers" and making enough money to buy that ocean front property in Arizona that continues to look more and more promising. Speaking of which, I pray that you guys are all alright; the recent storms look ever more brutal then normal. Feel free to drop me a line, I would live to hear from you.

I'm happy to hear so many of you are doing so well! I'm still here in Malibu...a long time ago I graduated from Percussion Institute of Technology in Hollywood and did the music thing for years, played in about 50 bands, been on a few tours (crappy punk rock tours yay) and played on an album. Eventually had to get a "real career" so I joined the Ventura County plumbers/pipefitters union. Now plumbing supports my drumming. And my girlfriend Nina. And my daughter (dog) Artimus. I still consider myself a surfer but really have no time to surf! I'm playing in a great band called 454 with Kevin Solomon, Donny Kulp, and bass virtuoso Barry Oakley Jr. I also still dabble in punk rock and play occasionally with the Bad Samaritans, yeah I know they're a valley band, so what!Anybody who wants to say wassup, please do! You all take care!

Hi, another update from me because I wanted to announce my first solo music CD. I've been a part of other CDs and bands, but this is my first solo venture. I wrote 9 songs and played a bunch of instruments on them. I'd be stoked if you checked it out. I've also been playing cello for songwriter, Jennifer Terran, and we just came back from a 2 week tour in Europe. I'm so appreciative that I'm able to be so involved with music. I'm still living in the beach community of Pierpont/Ventura Keys with husband and girls...now 6 and 8 years. I miss a lot of people from highschool and can't wait to reunite in '09. Meanwhile, email me a hello.

It was so fun to read about you folks and to get little snippets of your unfolding lives. So many different paths! Mine took me to UC Santa Cruz where i graduated from in 1994. After that followed a time of intense traveling and inner work which led me to Southeast Asia and Australia for three of the next four years--wandering the planet with my home on my back definitely stands as one of my most powerfull and favorite times of life. Currently I live in Humboldt County California, redwood country, where I am blessed with more love in my life than I could have imagined I would ever have. For a living I own and operate a small chai tea company, which allows me to work not too much and to take off traveling when the feeling moves--latest jaunts have been to Hawaii and Brazil. Be well family!

Finished up family medicine residency in Denver, Colorado 2002. Moved to SF a year ago, working in Oakland at a community health center and more importantly getting married in July 2003 to Christian McCarrick (a nice Irish boy - actually from NY but cool last name if I don't say so myself). I would love to hear from old friends. Looks like people's lives are getting quite interesting. Love it.
I've graduated from CSU Dominguez Hill with my Masters in Education. I'm currently teaching 2nd grade at Westport Heights Elementary in Westchester,CA.
Curtis Shenton passed away January 2003 at his home in Alameda, CA.
I’m still in big bad New York City and remain in love with this ridiculous town even after eight years here. I live in an enormous, 200-square-foot apartment in the West Village, which I’ve shared since 1993 with myriad roommates: close friends, strangers, freelance writers, part-timers, boyfriends, and assorted (and sordid) others. I’m an editor at Newsweek.MSNBC.com, for which I write and edit stories about popular culture topics: movies, TV, gossip and trends. (In short, the stuff you chatter about at that much-referred-to watercooler.) You can hear me discuss the showbiz landscape live on the Internet every Thursday at 7:10 p.m. EST on “The Tony Trupiano Show,” which is webcast at www.thetonyshow.com. I also occasionally comment on pop culture on TV, mostly on MSNBC, but also sporadically on “Access Hollywood,” “Extra” and the like. I have some Samo alums in my life, but I’d love to hear from more. 'Cuz although I’m a no-nonsense New Yorker these days, inside I’ll always be a California boy.
I have joined Us Weekly magazine, where I'll continue to cover movies and TV.
I am glad to hear that you are all doing so well! I am living in Santa Cruz, and after finally finishing my medical training I am practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology in San Jose.
Ok, first of all, did anyone find a slice of pizza that I left in the quad on 3/14/88? It was right next to my math book and one of you took it. I'd just like it back please, no questions asked. I've just recently moved back to L.A. after living the last 5 years in San Diego. I've been making video games for the last 9 years and right now am working for Electronic Arts. I could tell you what I'm working on but you'd probably have to sign an NDA and get a body-cavity search. Ok, that's enough information for you. I've probably already said too much. They're probably coming for me now...
I currently live in Orange County with my husband, Jim, of nearly 6 years and our 2 year old daughter. I have been a hairdresser for almost 10 years now and have probably serviced most of Santa Monica over the years! I still live close to the area despite a short lived move to the Bay Area!I have an 8 year old daughter, and a 2 year old son. My children are the best part of my life and the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me and I love being a mom! I didn't make it to the 10 year reunion, regretfully, as I have heard from so many that it was "....a blast!" Well those of you who know me and have lost touch, Please feel free to drop me a line, I would love to hear what goes on with you!

I just wanted to drop by and let everyone know what I have been up to. I'm still at PacWest Bancorp the holding company for Pacific Western Bank and in June '08 I was promoted to Vice President of Financial Reporting. I started in banking back when I was a senior at Samohi and still enjoying it. Other than work, I like to travel going to my family's vacation house in Mexico and any other place that has a beach. I like spending time with my brothers, sisters, and their kids. I also enjoy going out with my friends. Well fellow class of '89 I want to hear from you, specially from Martin Sanchez and Juan Conchas.
I am an orthopaedic surgeon and an assistant professor at The University of Pittsburgh. I specialize in sports medicine and am currently the head team physician for the Pitt Men's Basketball Team and assistant team physician for the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's an awesome job, but California weather sure beats the Pittsburgh winters!! Hope all is well with everyone. I would love to hear from you!
Well how has everbody been doing? I know a lot of us have passed away already so the rest of you watch out. I have done to much to list since high school but I am currently working for Wang Global supporting the USPS network. I would really like to hear from any of you that remember me. I also want to know more about the reunion and who is going to show up.

My first novel, THE INTERLOPER, has just been published! Here's what THE LA TIMES had to say: "Oh, what thrilling dread, falling in with a character as twisted as the narrator of Antoine Wilson's terrific first novel, "The Interloper." It's like leaving a party with a designated driver, only to discover as you swerve down the driveway that your new friend is drunker than you are. Or worse, completely insane." [link: http://www.latimes.com/features/books/la-bk-walter13may13,1,2508936.story?coll=la-books-headlines] And TC BOYLE said: "As assured and sumptuously written as any first novel I've encountered-- Antoine Wilson's prose sings and the story he tells here is both clever and compelling. This is writing at its very best." [more info at antoinewilson.com] I hope you'll check it out...and let me know what you think!!!! Cheers, AW

Life seems to be about constant change....and change seems constant with me! I recently took a voluntary furlough from Delta Air Lines after 7 1/2 years of flying, and began searching for something new. This past July I found my dream job working with Douglas Easton Travel, planning and leading group tours to some of the most exciting destinations in the world, including Machu Picchu and the best of Peru, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa and Namibia, Italy, France, Eastern Europe, the Amazon and Galapagos Islands, New Zealand and Australia. When I am in town I enjoy Santa Monica, which truly is one of the best cities in the world in which to live! It looks like I will be recalled to Delta sometime within the next year, so I have some juggling to do, but again it is change and I'm up for the challenge. Looking forward to our 20th reunion which is just around the corner!

I'm having the time of my life exploring this great big world of ours. I've been involved in the travel business for the past 9 years both as a flight attendant, and most recently as a tour operator leading tours around the world. This year I'll return to many of the same countries, but look forward to tours in Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Sweden, Guatemala, Hungary, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Looking forward to our reunion in 2009!
