Encino CA 91316
Life has been amazing since graduating. Went to USC and got a BA in Television. I'm currently a Writer and Music Director for the TV show "The Price Is Right." (Yes, there is actually writing on that show! Those goofy showcase sketches we do where we knock-off things like the "The Terminator" and "The Twilight Zone" . . .and yes, there is music on that show too . . about 40 to 50 pieces per show. It's all scored believe it or not!) Been on that show for 25 years. . .Yikes! It's amazing. I won the job lotto! I also freelanced for a ton of other TV shows, but "Price" has been the most fun. If anyone wants to watch a behind-the-scenes taping, just drop me a line. It's a blast! I'm living in Encino with my partner of 20 years, Monty (I'm sure THAT'S no surprise to anyone!). I'm sure you're all amazed that you're turning 50 in a few years. I know I am. Oy! I'm decaying right on schedule. Enjoy your lives, guys!

On June 19, 2003 I returned to Samo after 15 years to attend the graduation of my cousin Jason Guerin. It felt as though 15 years had not gone by since we were last there. I remember how if felt to be the student with the cap and gown on and now I was a among the many families in the audience. The campus looks the same with the exception of building improvements. Jason is the fifth member of our family to attend Samo. Our grandmother attended Samo in the 1930's, my mother in the 1960's, his mother (my aunt) in the 1970's, myself in the 1980's and he himself who graduated in 2003. Congratulations Jason!
I got married last May and am enjoying doing high-tech PR at Sun Microsystems.

Still plodding along in the HIV Research field doing data entry and dreaming
of bigger and better things to come after the implosion at my previous office
last year. Have gone back to school at SFSU to get a certificate in Biotechology
to further the old career. Otherwise all is well, still loving the SF Bay Area,
still volunteering with a homeless feeding program, still traveling and all
that good stuff. Hi to all, glad everyone is doing well. Feel free to say hi
if it strikes your fancy.
Camarillo, CA 93012
This is a great website, glad I found it. Happy to read that many of you are doing very well. After high school I lived in Costa Rica for a couple of years and then headed to college at Weber State in Utah where I received a scholarship to compete in Track & Field for one of America's greatest distance coaches (Chick Hislop). Collegiate athletics was a blast and my senior campaign I received All-American status in the 10K and qualified to compete in the 1996 Olympic Trials in Atlanta in the steeplechase. In 1998, my wife, Andrea and I were married and are now enjoying life in sunny So Cal. I took a job with Novell, a software company, that has brought us back to my neck of the woods in Santa Monica/ West LA where my office is. I hope to hear from many of you and wish you all the best of success.
Lisa FISHER, Class of '88 I'm back in LA after much time away. I am working in Santa Monica as Director
of the Westside Shelter and Hunger Coalition, serving the growing homeless population
on the Westside. I would love to catch up with folks, please drop me a line!
I'm living on the central coast of California with my husband and two children.
I graduated from Cal Poly, and I'm working at a charter school as a homeschool
adviser.
I'm living in Maine! Yes, Maine. I know that we people in So. Cal don't know
that the East Coast exists, and for good reason! It's really beautiful here
in the summer and then everyone sits around and waits for summer again! My husband
and I own a hotel on the southern coast of Maine and are buying another one
as I type, so, I guess I'm stuck here for awhile! No kids yet, but, hoping for
some. I have 5 nieces, 3 from my Brother, Craig and 2 from my sister, Marcy.
They are sooo cute and so much fun! But also in California. I will get back
there some day, I miss the year round sunshine that I always took for granted!
Would love to hear from you all!
Hey all. Am living on an island in the Puget Sound with my husband Jamie Lopez
and our 6 month old son, Oscar. I am *this close* to finishing my PhD in aquatic
ecology at the Univ of Washington. It's been a windy road (BA in Poli Sci at
Berkeley, assistant to Mel Brooks, fringe theater producer, BS in Wildlife Science
at UW), but I think this is what I wanna do when I grow up!

I am presently working in the corporate offices of Princess Cruises, after spending four years working on board Princess cruise ships and traveling the world. I am, once again, living in Santa Monica. After traveling extensively, I can truly say, "There's no place like home"!
I just returned from the Himalayas (Tibet) after reaching the summit of Cho
Oyu at about 9 a.m. on Sept. 25, Nepal time. Cho Oyu is 26,900 feet and is the
world's 6th highest mountain. The expedition took about 5 weeks. You can see
Mount Everest and Lhotse over my left shoulder. Feel free to send me an e-mail
and say hi.
Back in glorious LA and loving my life and all the really cool people in it!
Living back in Malibu after all these years with my 4 year old son, Tao and
loving it! Getting my voice over career going with the unfortunate news that
the show I've been working on, Ugly Betty, is moving to New York next year.
:0( Darn the economy! Still performing in Los Angeles, producing events and
planning organic gatherings. Look forward to seeing you all at the 20 year reunion!
Hello class of ’88. Thought I’d update everyone on what I’ve been up to over
the past 18 years!!!! After SAMO, I graduated from the Naval Academy and spent
12 years flying fighters for the Navy. Traveled the world, flying on and off
aircraft carriers. Had a great time. I resigned from active duty in December
of 2004. Completed my MBA at UCLA in August of this year and have been working
in the commercial aviation business ever since. The big news: in 2003, Karen
Call (’88) and I got married. We live in San Diego with our 2 year old son,
and have a baby girl on the way. Karen attended CSUN after SAMO and then went
on to law school. She graduated from Loyola Law School about 5 years ago. Before
taking some time off to have kids, Karen was working as an attorney for a real-estate
and business litigation firm. Karen and I are looking forward to seeing everyone
in two years at our 20th (wow!).
OK, here's the latest: Composer and president of Bad Ass Music Inc: a music
production company. Our music can be heard on many tv shows, films and commercials.
Happily married. No plans for kids... yet. I'm glad to see you all doing so
well!
After reading everyone's wonderful news, I had to go back and rewrite mine!
How amazing to find so many people here. Graduated from SAMO and went on for
a BA (Flute) from UCLA, squeezed in a year at the Royal College of Music in
London, U.K. for another piece of paper and on to the Manhattan School of Music
in New York for my Master's. Finally made it to New York and put my roots down
to stay. Carnegie Hall debut in 1993, lots of free-lancing - the usual New York
story of taking every gig you can. Still free-lancing but joined up with a concert
production company in 1996 and have been a whirling dervish ever since putting
together major concert series at Carnegie Hall. Lots of fun running a national
youth orchestra, wind ensemble, opera program in greece, and on and on --- but
not as much fun as the last 18 months with our daughter Gabriella. Rob and I
met at Manhattan School of Music, married in 1994, and have been discovering
the true meaning of happiness every since ! in this great life party. Would
love to hear from old friends --- great memories of the music department at
SAMO. Gave a little back in 2000 and got the SAMO Orchestra to Carnegie with
Chris Schwabe on the podium. A real proud moment. You'll be happy to know that
the "PRIDE" that Beasley, Hargis and Horimoto instilled in us is still there.
(Okay - now give me 10!)

It's been many moons, but I want to drop a "hello" to all the cool people I used to know from back in the day. Since 88' I've been living in the Bay Area, but I moved back 2 years ago. Currently I'm a Helicopter Pilot and work for Orbic Helicopters in Van Nuys 818-988-6532- call me if you want to catch up or go for a ride . Peace
here's my mail: agureghian@hotmail.com
Yes, I'm still alive. I'm an ER nurse in Santa Barbara and Ventura. Since
I grew up going to the ER, it is only fitting that I work in one. I bought my
dream beach home in 11/04 in La Conchita (Ventura County).... lets just say
that the rest is history, and I can't wait for another drought.
Santa Monica, CA 90405 Currently living in Sydney,Australia with my beautiful wife and 2 kids.
Hello Class of 88, after High School I went to Pepperdine University. Joined
the US Marine Corp in 1989 - 1993. Spent 9 months in Desert Storm in 1991. Got
out of the Marines in 1993 and became a Bodygaurd to the Hollywood Stars for
5 years. In 1998 I started a Home Based Business in the Health/Wellness Industry.
Got married in July 2000. We lived in Orange County for a little while, and
now reside in Kannapolis, NC.
Sorry I couldn't make the 10th reunion. From Boston, it's a pretty expensive
ticket. After graduation, I attended USC for a year...studied music and got
restless. Left USC to march in Drum and Bugle Corps for four years and tour
the country. Worked wih children in the off-season and moved to France to be
an Au Pair and went to University in Paris. Transferred to Boston University,
finished a History degree, then got my Masters in Education at Tufts (also in
Boston) and taught in the Boston public schools for three years. Two years ago,
I left to pursue music full-time as a singer/songwriter. Things are going well
out here. I've been out of touch for so long, I thought I'd put a line in the
water and see if anyone was looking for me. I wish you all the best. Peace.
The 20 year reunion was great, over 300 people attended and it was well worth
the effort. Thanks for all of the appreciative hugs. I hope everyone made it
home safe, minus a few brain cells. Please share any photos as I took NONE...too
busy. What a blast. Thanks again!
Recently moved to Oregon. My wife Jessica, my daughter Tira and I are loving
it here.
Hi fellow classmates, how is everybody doing?? For those of
you who didn't know, I was one of the lucky millionaire lottery
winners (ya didn't know ?) {smile}. Just kidding (I can dream,
can't I?). Seriously though, I graduated from Cal State Northridge
(hi fellow CSUN alumni) and I am now working @ GTE Directories...
I would love to hear from any and all of my classmates. Let me
know what's happening in your life. I'll respond back, I PROMISE!!
Peace! After a modest career as a dancer on Broadway (I played Rum Tum Tugger in
Cats), I hung up my shoes and teach a master class in tap over at the Venice....wait...that's
not me. I'm just a simple Mortgage Broker, stuck in the valley. I won't bore
you with the details. However, if you want to be bored, drop me a line....
I'm about half-way where I'm supposed to be, and about one-quarter past where
I once was...in short, there's still a long way to go, but life is good.

It is strange doing this, since I do not remember a lot of you. But forthose
of you who knew me, well you will be intrigued. I continued with the childcare
for a while, as I attended SMC. In fall of 91 my mother died which changed my
life course. After getting my AA, I went on a study abroad to Cambrige, England.
When I came home I became a hairstylist and colorist and worked at salons around
the Santa Monica area. During that time I was figuring out who I truly was and
realized how unhappy I was in southern California. So last spring I up'd and
moved to Santa Cruz. Where I have unergone career re-training and am now working
for a non-profit as a administrative assistant, which I feel really good about.
I am loving the colder climate and have really figured out who I am and what
I really want out of life. So if anyone wants to connect with an old punk-rocker
who is still an activist at heart...please drop a line..would love to hear from
you.
Living and working in Hawaii as a wildlife biologist, raising my two little

Worked for a time as a dare devil, traveling from carnival
to carnival, had a torrid affair with the bearded lady... naw,
really graduated from Otis School of Art and Design and currently
working as a freelance graphic designer in the L.A. area. Still having tons of fun in Hollywood. We have opened our doors to those in

those of you who remember them, they are both enjoying retired life. Would love
to hear news from those of you who wish to write! Peace to you all!

After high school I kicked around s.m. for awhile and bailed to Seattle for a couple of years. Went to Griffin College majored in electronics. I later came to Charlotte in '93. I'm currently employed with Bank of America and married. My wife and I are starting an on-site personal care business that caters to senior citizens & the handicapped. E-mail me I'd like to hear from some "Old Heads".
Since my last update. I am still father to three beautiful girls and have
been married for the last ten years. I am now a Fire Captain/Paramedic working
in East Los Angeles. Still working towards that degree. Life is GOOD!
After graduating from UC Irvine, I worked for a couple years before getting
my MBA from UT Austin. I met my husband there and we moved to the bay area 9
years ago. We now have 2 wonderful kids and I'm an HR Manager at Rambus. Would
love to hear from old friends!
The past 19 years (has it really been that long?) have been quite a ride.
Lets see - I graduated from UC Davis with a BS in Zoology in '93; worked in
labs for a while, but was seduced by the theater, and ended up in New York City;
moved back to CA in '98, and ended up marketing supercomputers to science customers
at SGI in Mountain View; was RIF'd in 2003, and decided to revive my theater
career. Currently, after a good stint of SF Bay Area theater jobs, I am working
as a technical supervisor at NASA Ames Research Center and freelancing as a
graphic designer to pay the bills. But just found out it won't be necessary
much longer...I was just cast in the upcoming Vegas production of Jersey Boys
as one of the Four Seasons, Nick Massi. So, the rollercoaster ride continues...Hope
life has treated all of you well.
Hello everyone! I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1997, and I have

Emergency Medicine residency training in New York, got married to my classmate
John in med school, I came back to Santa Monica to settle down with my hubby
and 2 daughters, Kelly 7 and Kristin 4. I am working as an ER doc on the Westside.
It was kind of weird and cool to have a Samohi classmate as my daughter's kindergarten
teacher at Franklin Elementary school, and to run into another classmate at
kid's preschool function. With the 20-year reunion around the corner, I wish
to see many of you there, since I missed the 10-year one being in New York.
Please drop an email to stay in touch!

About a year after we all graduated I moved to the north shore of Kauai for
two years where I began my career in the fitness industry as a yoga instructor.

to make my way down there for at least a month every summer to work the beach.

as a commercial actress. I attended the University of Santa Monica and graduated
with my MA in Spiritual Psychology in 2003. I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2004
and am still here today. I am currently working on my PhD in Transpersonal Psychology
and several yoga therapy internships. I currently work as a personal trainer,

I just went through the list from A-Z and I am embarrased to say that only a hand full of you stood out in my mind. I can't believe it has taken me 15 YEARS to write to this website and get in touch with all of you! I am excited to see all the people who signed up and how great everyone is doing! I would like to tell you that I reside in Panama City, Panama! I am married to an amazing Professional Soccer player and Coach here and I have 2 Beautiful boys...Beau Tyler(4) and Lukas Ryan(2). They are my life! I teach 4th grade here at a Private International School Balboa Academy! I wanted !
to come to our 15th reunion but have other plans! I do keep in touch with some of you but I would love to hear more personally from you! Please I if you have a minute to fish with me throw out a line and keep in touch!
I'm happily married. I'm an eighth grade social studies teacher. I live in
Massachusetts with my wonderful husband and great son. I just visited Allison
Weatherford in Seattle.
(picture to come) Susan SCHWARTZ, Class of '88 Still living in MA, running my Massage Therapy business. I can't believe I've
been here for over 12 years already, and that it's been nearly 20 years since
graduation!!! I look forward to helping plan the 20-year reunion. Please make
an effort to go! We are hoping it will be more than one night, and will include
a family bbq, so everyone can get to spend a little more time with your family.
I am back in L.A. a couple times a year, as Kimmie (Kim) and her family live
in Newbury Park (as of last year), and the rest of my family is still in CA.
I truly would enjoy an email from anyone who'd like to write. I am not always
good at getting back to you right away, but have the best intentions! p.s.-Picture is of Kim, my mom, me, my sister Deborah and Kim's daughter Alex,
Mother's Day 2005 Austin TX Visual Artist and Assistant Professor at the School of the Art Institute of
Chicago.
Happily married with 3 beautiful kids. Working as physician for Kaiser Permanente.
Moved back to So Cal last year. It's so good to be back "home". Would love to
hear from old friends.
Graduated from UC Irvine, then went to Loyola Law School. Currently practicing
law in Cerritos and attempting to qualify for the World Poker Tour. Email me
if there's a game!
In 1993, I received a BS in Pschyology from UCD then continued to UCSF, where
I earned my DDS in 1998. I currently live in Sacramento, CA with my husband
of 5 years with our two daughters, 2 & 4. I would love to hear from you.
Wow! I'm about to turn 38. I'm married with two kids and another one on the
way. I still get a chance to surf and snowboard. I'm fortunate to have the opportunity
to travel a lot. I work with teen drug abusers at Visions Adolescent Treatment
Centers. It's a very appropriate job if you remember me from school (the little
bit I attended of it).
Living in Santa Monica; wouldn’t live anywhere else, Married to wife, Yvette,
2 year old son, Hunter. After Samo, attended USC then on to WSU Law School.
Currently practicing law in my firm in Los Angeles. Drop me a line!!!
Moved to Santa Barbara in 2004. Currenly working as an internal medicine doc.
Enjoying life on the beach. Hope everyone is doing well.
Real Estate agent in Florida for the last 3 years. Single w/girlfriend, no
kids, one great Doberman. Into: Classic Cars, Outdoors, looking to re-locate
back to west coast, probably Washington Coast.
Greetings and hello, I am still alive and kicking in Las Vegas. I am currently
working for a local singer who performs at The Paris Hotel and Casino in an
upcomming show called, "Sizzle". I have discovered that being a personal assistant
is rather like being an on call slave. drop me a line if you ever find yourself
out this way, I would be happy to show you the town from an insiders perspective.
aka "Jesus" (have since got a haircut) Let's see...lived in Virginia and New
York and have finally made it back to sunny Southern California (are they crazy
back there? They've got FOUR seasons! That's nuts!) Married five years (thirty-five
in dog years) and now divorced. No kids thank God. The custody battle over the
cat was enough for me. Lots of yoga and long hikes in the Santa Monica Mountains
keep me (marginally) sane. I got my B.S. in Physical Science and B.A. in Religious
Studies at Humboldt State University (yes, I know) followed by my M.S. in Computer
Science at James Madison University in Virginia after unsuccessfully trying
to start a health food cafe with a friend. Currently working as a Systems Analyst
at the Center for Software Engineering at USC. I'd love to hear from anyone
at Samo. Give me a buzz or drop me an email. And if you've tried to contact
me previously at my old entry on this website, I probably didn't get your messages
as the information has been out-of-date for a long time. I'm sorry I missed
the reunion. I've always regretted that my picture somehow didn't make it into
the '88 yearbook and now I will fade into obscurity in the hearts and minds
of samohi folks. Hey, whatever happened to Cryptic Slaughter? I miss those guys!
Cheers! - Paul 2/24/03
Santa Monica, CA After living in the world of "Rock & Roll" in Northern

Everyone who is in class of 88 please go to the website below and put in all
of your info. It will make it much easier for Becki Sparks, Ali Hopkins and
me to get it together for our next reunion. The last one was really hard for
Ali and I to deal with, so I'd like to have smooth sailing for the next one.
Thanks! http://www.classreport.com/usa/ca/santa_monica/samohi/1988/
Now that I've seen my good friend's (Darren Silver) posting, I feel like I should update what I've done in the last 15 years. Graduated from Dartmouth in '92 in mechanical engineering, joined the Navy as a Nuclear Propulsion Officer for 6 years. Took a year off to travel the world, and then lived in Munich, Germany for 4 years working in the software industry. and opening up a baby boutique on the web. It will launch sometime in February
of 2006. Please visit www.babytulip.com if you have a chance or just drop me
a line, I'd love to hear from you.

Still living in and loving New York. I am the Artistic Director of a fledgling
theater company at night (Blank Slate Theater Co.) and work as a management
consultant and executive recruiter in the entertainment industry by day. I'm
loving both careers, though one pays a bit more than the other. Can you guess
which? Was married. Now I'm not. Was sad. Now I'm happy again. No kids. Easier
that way. Anyway, can't wait to visit LA again to test my long dormant (and
hopefully still existing) surfing skills. I'll try to get out there before 2008.
If you're in NYC or visiting and need a tour guide please feel free to drop
me a note.
