What up my fellow class of '84 folk. Saw some of you at the 20 year, and for those I promised to call....ooops, has it been 2 1/2 years already??? I live in Cheviot Hills with my wife and 2 boys (6 1/2 & 4), and life is good. So close to all the old stomping grounds, so why don't I ever run into any of you around town anyways (only in court, under the worst of circumstances, it seems, but don't worry, I won't name names). Email me sometime.
I work as a legal assistant in the Family Law department of a major San Diego law firm. I love being mom to son, Alex (DOB 5-5-94) and daughter, Olivia (DOB 11-3-97). Happy to be back in sunny Southern California after some lovely, if wet, years in the UK and Pacific Northwest. I left chemistry to enter investment management some 14 years ago, which is what eventually led me to work in London. Still married, but with 4 kids now. 2 boys and 2 girls. Working as a branch manager for Morgan Stanley. Looking forward to the 20 year reunion.

Hmmm...well I wonder if its cool to be here, since I actually was at Olympic
when I graduated via CHSPE about six months ahead of schedule in Jan. 84. I
am well and living in NY these days. I am still playing music. I have actually
traveled the most playing tuba in a jazz group called "Howard Johnson and
Gravity" ( my father's band of 6 tubas and a rhythm section). I am also
singing and writing songs which you will see/hear if you check out my site.
My CD "Testify" came out in Feb 97. And speaking of "coming out",
I did that way back in 1985. I'm sure some of you knew before I did. That's
why sometimes I say I "came to". I was waiting for boys to stop being
yucky. =) Thank god for the option...(nothing against you fellas). Anyway, I'd
love to hear from folks. And I wish you all well.

Let's see... 18 years in fewer than that many lines... Went straight into UCLA for 4 years, then UCB for grad school (Theoretical Computer Science), started working in 1990 as a computer programmer and have been doing it ever since. I've worked at TCSI (when it was in Berkeley), the UCLA Computer Science Department, a startup (now shutdown) in San Francisco, then 10 years at Forte Software / Sun Microsystems, and finally started working at Google in 2008. Got married in 1996, had a son in 1997, and life just keeps going on. Sadly, missed the 2004 reunion, but hope to catch the next one -- is that 25 years or 30?
Hey all you guys, hope all is well, and life has been good.
Hope all is well with everyone! Sorry to have missed the 20th Reunion, but hope to make the quarter century! Still in entertainment advertising, and doing well as a designer and account supervisor. Wishing you all a good life and see you at the 25th!

Well, I'm happy to report my hair survived the 80's. I can't seem to leave Santa Monica, getting ready to teach Pre-school. Have a gorgeous dog, a fluffy cat and wonderful boyfriend (also a teacher). I dare you to e-mail me to say "hello"...(any from John Adams...Will Rogers??) I've surprisingly heard from a few of you (yay!). I'm REALLY looking forward to our 20-year reunion this summer!!
I really miss being in history class staring out the window at the Pacific (second floor, main building), thinking, "What the hell am I doing here?" I've made a life from journalism and PR. I covered the NATO bombing campaign of Yugoslavia back in 1999 (so many wars ago!), the fall of Milosevic, and still do stories from the region, mostly for British papers, but also some American. Teacher I miss the most - Peter Sawaya. Married with two young boys - ages 2.6 and 8 weeks (as of July, 2005). Final thought, "If only I knew then what I know now."

Hi.... I've decided to leave my whereabouts info with SAA. Since I move
around quite often... Maybe this is a good way to stay in touch with old pals.
(Guys, send an email if you still remember me)
I am currently working in the financial field...Fixed Income & Equity Derivatives.
(Santa Monica City Finance Board should avoid me)
I've taken a job in ASIA for the past 2 years 1996-1998. Although I can't say
I've contributed to the Asian financial crisis, It's "totally a drag",
career wise. I will flee as quickly as I can back to the cradle of New York
soon, dispite the talks of potential global financial meltdown. If that really
happens, my destined beach-bum-dom awaits me back in old Santa Monica. Well,
no more small talks... Greetings to those who remembers...

Married 9 years, baby on the way, working at Fox Studios as a graphic artist and loving life. Spent a year and a half traveling around the world, amazing experience. Hard to believe it's almost 20 years!
Even tho' my dearest Ali (G)-Pal misspelled my name, hey, when you've known somebody for over 20 years, you realize you're both getting way too old and are apt to forget things! Latest news: I married a wonderful MIT geek, have a 12-year-old and a 2-year-old, and, after various attempts at finishing a dissertation in linguistics, I left to edit papers that *other* linguists write (much more fun!). Hope everyone's doing well, and hope to hear from you if you get to Boston!
I moved from Malibu 1 year before graduation and now live in San Diego. I am very interested in connecting with people from Malibu and friends that I made at Samohi!!
