It was all a bblluurrr to me 1981-1983...I even posted my name on the wrong year [1982] a while back. I'm a hopeless lush who'll guzzle Aqua-Velva or Listerine if ya' got it [it makes me minty and fights plaque]. Moved back to Malibu after a decade in Canada...not the same folks; oh well. Check out my links if you're interested in what I've accomplished in 25 years. Whooppeee!! "What a looooong Strange Trip it's *%$#@ been for sure!"

Hello everyone! After graduation, I moved up to Berkeley where I graduated from Cal, went to law school, and took/passed the Bar Exam. I'm now working as a trial attorney in San Francisco--which occasionally forces me to be a grown-up, but mostly just subsidizes my appetite for travel, toys, and play. I'd love to hear from old friends. Feel free to drop an e-mail anytime.

Wow. So much has changed since my last posting. I am no longer a monk, although I still teach Tibetan Buddhism and meditation. I am translating a 10th century Tibetan text into English, a real passion for me. I've been living in Denver for five years now and have a business that I love, promoting great speakers and seminars. I'm not married and don't have any kids. I loved the several hours many of us had together at the 20th. I was amazed to see how many people from my kindergarten class were at the reunion. I would really love to have about a week to catch up with everyone next time we all get together (for our 25th, or before, maybe a cruise). We're all going to be 40 this year. I've been thinking a lot about where we came from, what we've been through, and who shared the ride with us along the way. I'd love to hear from you. Namaste

6-8-05 I’m feeling nostalgic enough today to risk publishing an email address, or maybe I just want to test the Lennon-McCartney theory as it applies to spam (“It can’t get no worse.”) Hypothesis - Yeah, right. I left Samohi halfway through junior year and did an eighteen-month stint up at Kern Valley High School (Lake Isabella, CA) for having parents who wanted to move away from the city. Lucky I didn’t get “life.” Highlights since graduation: studied Philosophy at CSU Bakersfield; backpacked through Europe in ’92; built Bakersfield’s best pub in ’99; and got married in ’02. Currently I’m managing the online banking application for one of Kern County’s credit unions, and bartending at least once a week at my pub. General feelings about Santa Monica: Good Times.
Scott '81 and I are "parents" of our neice, Ashley. Her father is my brother Ken McGhee. She has been with us since June '04. Humbly, I am teaching again. I realized that after a two-year break that I really am suited for teaching. I teach 8th grade pre-Algebra and don't regret returning to the profession.
I've been living in Orange County for 6 years, still going
to school for Physical Education degree, I have been competing
on a stand up jet skis for the past 6 years (love the water),
I had the opportunity to work at SeaWorld last summer and was
offered the same opportunity to work there again this summer in

After a 17 year career as a flight attendant for TWA/American Airlines, I've been laid off. Currently, I am waiting tables in 2 different locations in St. Louis, Missouri. The transition has been somewhat of a shock to the system, and I miss seeing my friends that I used to work with and have known for such a long time across the globe. I bought my 1st home just a few months prior to the lay off, and have found the joys of redecorating, painting, etc to be a slow, but gratifying process. I am currently studying to become certified as a personal trainer, and hope that I will start a new career along that path by the fall of '03. Another potential interest includes possibly becoming a wedding planner/event coordinator. My brother Marc (Class of '85) has triplets that recently turned 4. To say that I enjoy being an uncle would be a MAJOR understatement. Lastly, I send out a reminder to all about the benefits of early detection for Breast Cancer. Recently our mom was diagnosed with this, but they caught it at such an early stage that doctors expect a full recovery. That's all the news that's fit to print. I understand there's a reunion being planned for October? Hope to see you there.
Currently, in the Information Technology field, married (with child on the way), Hobbies: Martial Arts, Film production, Guitar.....

2008 Update. Our daughter Stephanie graduated from high school this year. The memories came rushing back of Samohi. It was fun to share the memories and make new ones with her. She is now attending the University of Wisconsin River Falls and we couldn't be more proud. Our son Brandon is in 8th grade and had an awesome baseball season. He got picked for the All Star team and his team went to the EVAA World Series (high school athletic association), unfortunately they did not win. Scott and I are still plugging along. We love Minnesota. Living the dream! Hope to hear from some of you!
I guess I would have graduated in 1983. I hated school and tested out when I was fifteen; went to Santa Monica College for a minute, then moved to Europe. When I returned to the US I moved to San Francisco, and spent seven years doing public health work for UCSF in re HIV. I started in 1990, when a positive test was more or less a death sentence, and worked 'til 1996, when needle exchange was pretty much sanctioned by the police department in SF. I fell in love and got arrested a few times and bought a house and sold it and have been a librarian for six years now.
My wife Debbi Lampkin and I have 4 kids, all wonderful and very different. Left So. Cal after designing cars for Hyundai Motor Co now in Texas designing trucks for Peterbilt Motors Co. Keep a very busy life. I hope to hear from old friends and acquaintenances.
