Hi all,
I'm living in Manhattan Beach, California with my wife Mary and four month old beautiful daughter Gabriela. I'm presently CEO of an Internet company called How2TV based in Los Angeles. We are doing very well and I'm learning something new everyday. I play as much golf as I can fit in and go to the beach the balance of my free time. Would like to hear from other alums.
Still living on the Westside. Loving my darling daughter Gemma, 9yrs old.
Where has everyone been?! In all these years I haven't seen
a sole - it's almost like everyone split to distant corners of
the planet! I've been working in Wall Street as an institutional
trader for years and years now. . .too many to count. After high
school, I became engrosed in the stock market and after a stint
at college, I hustled my ass off and got a job as a clerk and
then a broker on the floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange with
Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. Later I became an institutional
broker at the then Beverly Hills NYSE firm of H.J. Meyers &
Co. Life lesson: "School is expensive" and the tuition
that Wall Street exacts is a heavey toll. I'm still single, live
in Redondo Beach, Ca and travel quite frequently. Life passions
are still snow skiing, fishing, hunting (with Tony Steenolsen),
scuba diving, flying, traveling, chess and yes, dancing. Hey,
where are you Michelle Cole? Claudia Gomez? (too great dancers
worth mention)P.S. Has anyone seen Mark Hines as !
Cyle Stone - oh boy! Hope to see many of you at the next renunion
- ouch, 20 year! Love to hear from the Samo gang; send notes,
pictures, jokes, etc to e-mail. . . later, Glenn
Still here In Santa Monica. My Oldest Son Is Now A SAMOHI Viking. I Have 3-kids. Jeremiah-15, Caleb-13 & Nicole-10.

Washington, DC 20015
I have been living in Washington DC for the past 18 years. Originally came here to attend graduate school after my undergraduate studies at Berkeley but got hooked on politics, got married and had a couple of great kids (Nate 8 1/2 and Sophia 6)and never left. Worked on sustainable energy issues for a Senate Committee for 8 years before moving on to more of the same at the US Agency for International Development. I am currently the Director of Development for an environmental non-profit organization in DC. Trying to save the world one kilowatt at a time. Would love to hear from old friends especially those alumni who may be in the DC area or just passing through. We get to Los Angeles a couple of times a year and seem to run into Samohi Alums each time (mostly at Douglas Park in Santa Monica)!

Wow - what a flashback. High school seems like a lifetime ago, but at the same time, I have so many vivid memories, it's hard to believe it was really that long ago. After Samohi, I graduated from UCLA (undergrad) then Loyola Law School. I worked as an attorney for about 11 years before giving up the grueling large law firm life. I lived in Santa Monica until the end of 2001, then headed to San Diego where I met my husband (Karl). We now live in San Jose with our Lab mix, Eden (no kids but lots of travel!). I work for Cisco in strategic finance and underwriting, and Karl (a serial entrepreneur) is working on a new start up in the mobile telecom space. I'm still in touch with some of my friends from high school, but it would be great to hear from others. P.S. The photo was taken after a hot air balloon ride in San Diego
Moved back to S. Cal. in 1990 after spending the 80's in Ohio and Indiana. Graduated from the Cleveland Insitiute of Music with a double degree in performance (string bass) and recording engineering. See you at the next one. Still would love to contact Stacy Zeck.
Still living on 2nd Street, still jogging at the beach ... Spent few years in Tokyo, Japan, in the 90's taking care of my mother who was seriously injured when she fell off a tree in her yard while picking plums to make plum wine (ume-shu)... Currently with the City of Los Angeles (yes, I finally took the advice of my friends from high school and applied for and got a job with the government!). Am Mommy of three rescue kitties - Oreo, Xica, and Brina - who are all overweight and are currently on Atkins-like diet for kitties (high protein, low carbo). The vet told me that a cat that weighed over 40 lbs (Holy cow!) lost 20+ lbs while on this diet ...

Had a few jobs after graduating and finally ended up working at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium as a supervisor for more than seven years before realizing I just couldn't do that any more, so quit and went on the road. Drove up north all through Canada with my German shepherd casey, and made it as far as the Arctic Circle before turning west through the Yukon and down into Alaska. Stayed in Alaska for a couple of months - have never seena anyplace like that on this earth - before wandering back home. Had my own mobile espresso business with a partner for a couple of years before being devoured by the scourge that is Starbucks. Now working as a graphics and IT guy for a dot-com business which, I think, is not long for this world (I'm cool with that). Writing is where my passion lies. Single, never married. Drop a line if we knew each other - I'd love to hear from you.

Still trying to figure out how a nice Jewish girl ended up giving lectures about sex to classes of 250+ undergrads. Looking forward to the next reunion!
Since leaving sunny California in 1981, I have done a lot of moving around...Maine, Hawaii, Florida and now North Carolina. I've had my own art business and have been in the mortgage business of 7 years. I've recently given that up and now I'm making a living at baking cakes. I've settled down here in North Carolina and I'm getting married in 7 days. I have 2 children, my son Michael will be 24 years old next month and my daughter Loretta will be 21. Although I was not very popular there at Samohi, I'm sure my brother Joe Scarangello was. I would love to hear from some of you even if you don't remember me!
I graduated from Temple University and have been working as a sports writer and editor since 1987. I am currently working for the Bucks County Courier Times. I am married (my wife is Rebecca) and had a son (Spencer Thomas Schiele) in Feb. 2002. Sorry I missed the reunion, but I promise to be at the next one. Hope all is well with everyone.
How great to reconnect with the class of 81 with a technology we would never have imagined when we graduated. I live in San Diego, so sclose to LA, but have lost touch with just about all my old friends, except Janet Barak, who lives in Australia. Am married for seven years, no kids yet, and manage a Williams-Sonoma store. Would love to hear from old friends, really loved growing up in SM, and miss it.

Hey All Even after 20 some odd years I really do not have much to say to ya'all. Still I would be real interested in hearing from anyone that remembers me, even the people from grade school. I went from Grant, John Adams then Samohi for those that think they know me.
About me? Never married. I have kicked around most of the western states as a commercial CADD instructor for the last 20 years. I have been living in Boise Id for the last 4 or so years. It's real nice up here, I think I will stay for a while. I guess I am still in the same things now as I was back in Samo sports, outdoors, computers and the like.
