Moved to Colorado 1998, 2 children. Software Developer.
Well, a few changes to report--newly divorced after 16 years with my wife. I immediately lost 50 lbs, started smiling a hell of lot more, and my blood pressure returned to normal. Funny how that all works. Still have some gray hair, but it's all good now. Got back to Northern California in August of 2007 and am now setting up shop in the Outer Richmond, San Francisco. Returned to my old employer, the State of California, and now I'm working on a manuscript, traveling up and down the coast taking photos and writing little things, and I'm slowly finding my way into a simple, easy, free and happy existence. I really don't know all that much more than when I started out 47 years ago, but I have learned this: Forget what people say--watch what they do. You'll know who your friends are. Good luck and happy journeys to all of you.
Hi out there ! I am glad that some of my old friends have contacted me here in Germany . I really hope that we will have a reunion soon , I wont miss it this time . take care

After Samo, I went to UCLA and then on to Law School (UC Hastings) in San Francisco. Along the way I fell in love with the Bay Area, and at the advanced age of 38 married June, a wonderful woman who's also a lawyer (we attorneys tend to stick together). I now have two beautiful children, Nathan (2002) and Lauren (2004), and am living in Walnut Creek, a suburb of Oakland/San Francisco. Regarding my professional path, I worked in private practice as a civil litigator for about 12 years, got fed up with the constant stress, and am now a City Attorney for the City of Concord, a fairly large (pop. 114,000) working-class town. It's a very fulfilling job, and I feel pretty blessed, considering what a screw-up I was in high school. I have to admit, though, that wrapped as I am in my comfortable middle class cocoon, I sometimes miss the raw emotion of those formative years. Theresia, if you're reading this, I'd love to her from you.
Living In San Jose, California with my husband, Marshall and our two boys...Cooper (12) and Jack (6). Riding and training American Saddlebred Horses. Feeling very blessed.

I was at Samohi for my last year and a half of high school while living in lovely Topanga Canyon after a move back to Cali from the midwest. (I was supposed to be at Taft in Woodland Hills but much preferred life on the west side of the hills!) Was in Orchesis and am still friends with folks like Nur Nur Cummings and Tim O'Kelly - and missing Tim Dwight, who passed in Oct. '94. I am a world-traveling jazz singer, based in New York City, currently in Singapore singing for two months, calling New Orleans the closest thing I have to a hometown (that's where my musician parents David & Roselyn are), and still fondly remembering my days in Southern Cal. I used Google Earth for the first time yesterday and saw exactly where I graduated high school (pep rally flashback!), where I used to live later in Venice Beach (before moving to Brooklyn in '94), and followed the drive along Topanga Canyon Blvd. from my sister Adrian's place in Canoga Park all the way to the beach and along ! that familiar drive to school. Very cool! I haven't been to a reunion since our 10 year and hope something is planned for our 30th. Can you believe it's been 30 years?! I've never married (yet!), no kids, mostly traveling and singing, writing and recording, and enjoying the journey along the way!! Check out my tunes on my websites and say hi! Peace and Blessings to you.
Greetings~ It's been 31 years since I left Samohi. It went by very quickly. My family moved to Santa Monica in 1967 after we lost our home in a fire in Sacramento. We got out with only the pajama's on our bodies. After enduring Catholic school for kindergarten and 1st grade, Santa Monica was a welcome change and was beautiful. The first time I laid eyes on the beach it made an indelible impression on my soul that would last my lifetime. I was excited about starting public school at Will Rogers Elementary. On the very first day I arrived at the school about 7 am. A group of older kids made me feel welcome by beating me up and dropping me on a pile of dog crap on the grassy area of the small kids playground. That was the precurser of events that would follow and haunt me until I left SM. Growing up in the 60's & 70's was tough enough. But being raised by my Castilian grandmother made the culture differences between school and home even worse. What I could never articulate wasthat when I got i! nto any kind of a fight at school, my fault or not, it wasn't fear of anyone at school that prevented me from defending myself, it was the fear of my grandmother beating me for having been in a fight at school that scared the hell out of me. It was her belief that gentlemen do not get involved in fisti-cuffs.So I was labled a "fag" and a "coward" and it was so popular to beat Albert Lester up. Now, as I read the profiles some of the people that used to beat me up for being a "fag" are now out of the closet. Interesting isn't it? For those of you that took the time to really know me, you know I am a loyal and dedicated friend. Those of you that made snap judgements or beat me up or picked on me because it was the "popular thing to do", you made me stronger. I enlisted into the USMC-R (aviations operations)at 17 after taking the GED through OLY. My then girlfriend was supposedly pregnant and I wanted to do the right thing ( core values and all that stuff) but, She wasn't however it was too late, I was already enlisted then I was dumped. In life when one door closes others open. I met my wonderful wife of 29 years on Valentine's day '78 and we eloped 11 days later. We have 3 wonderful kids all girls, and 3 grandsons. To My "friends"that called her to "warn" her how bad I was, we are still together and very much in love. Hmmmm you've been divorced 3 times? Ironic isn't it? We live in the Northwest and have since 89.I got involved in sales, management and training and retired at 37. Bored,I enrolled in c! ollege and studied nursing but never followed through.Life happens. Now I am involved in a project to help displaced baby-boomers acquire new skills in order to get high paying jobs. We've traveled to Europe and South America. In highschool I always wanted a Cobra II and could never afford one. Now I own a King Cobra (1 of 500) and a "bill board cobra II.I still love music and it is still a big part of my life.I want to thank Penny for being a true friend when my mother died and helping me through a bad time. Chris, the last time we talked, you were enlisting in the Army. I miss you and would love to reconnect. Richard, the last time I saw you, you were involved with a recording studio on the boardwalk in Venice. Phil, I heard you and Kathy were together and had had kids ( but that was 25 yrs ago). Monica and Denise, get over yourselves. For the record, there are no sour grapes here. I am having a wonderful life. But since this forum is to let people know things I want to make a few statements to set things straight: Mrs. Anderson You were one of my 3 favorite teachers that had the most impact on my life. By the way it was Frank Cook that had the beer on the bus. I had nothing to do with it.Mrs. Rapley, thank you for our special friendship. To the substitute teach for Mr. Davis at Will Rogers, it was David that put the rat droppings in your coffee. Mr. Davis thank you for being like a dad. I hope you still have your 69 GTO it's value could buy a house today. To the ladies I was involved with, if I hurt you I am truly sorry. I never was or have been gay. I just prefere the friendship and company of females. I have no kids other than with my wife. Being in your forties is so liberating you feel so free to express exactly how you feel. I love it! Additional information> I am a pieces, I occasionally enjoy a fine cuban cigar, enjoy Crown Royal ( especially special reserve) the beach, music, dancing, fine dining, and travel. I collect cars,2002 transam convertible 5.7l with the ws6 trans, the 78 king and 78 Cobra II. Sold off the Mopars.still collect antique lighters, postage stamps ( started in 68) Anything else feel free to ask and If anyone would like to connect, email me.Peace, love, harmoney, and proparity to all.

I work backstage at Disneyland. Well, actually I work in a warehouse on the other side of the freeway from Disneyland, but doesn't "backstage" sound cooler?
I'm a happy grandparent living in Northern California. Pondering retirement... Do you think I can get my old job back working on the pier in the shooting gallery?
I took a B.M. in Trombone Performance from USC in 1983 (by way of UCLA). I did a stint as Principal Trombone/Solo Tenortuba in the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra from '86-'88 (South Korea). (I was the only blonde, but not the only foreigner.) Married in '86 to a lovely Catholic, we had a daughter in '88, and I got baptized (also Catholic) in '90. Wife Beth is a Nurse Practitioner and saint. Daughter is a junior at LMU (near LAX) on a full academic scholarship, majoring in English while studying Arabic. I was an Inhalation Toxicologist working as a Metrologist for the pharmaceutical company Lilly until 2005. We're back in SoCal now (Ventura) where Beth is an NP doing Associate Health for Pratt-Whitney Rocketdyne in Canoga Park and I'm in recovery from being downsized (AGAIN!) late May, desperately seeking another gig. (Whoops! Didn't I mention my second bachelor's degree and grad school, in chemistry and toxicology, respectively?) I play at Mass every week, lead the Topanga Symphony's and Ventura British Brass's trombone sections, and still freelance. I find it amusing to be 28 years older than my daughter, but she's been Catholic four years longer than me. Peace.
