Samohi friends -- Since 1992, my wife and I have lived in Cenverville, OH with our two kids. Compared to Santa Monica, its like stepping into a 1960’ black & white sitcom -- Centerville is where Phil Donahue and Ema Bombeck come from and when you enter the sign says, “Welcome to Warm & Cheerful Centerville. It is just like growing up in Santa Monica plus or minus 40 degrees. When it is overcast, I just tell myself it’s a beach day and the sun will come at noon. Wrong. I graduated from USC and New England Conservatory, was the first manager of New World Symphony and continue to play the bass & cello, teach, conduct, compose and have done tons of publishing. I’m also a real estate addict, so that keeps me busy too. We are markjodi@aol.com. I was on the 10-year reunion committee and will help on the 30th. Let’s just set a date for 2007. Email if you know something.
Hello! I worked for Mciworldcom in Phoenix for several years, before moving back to the L.A. area. I am still in the same line of work, which I really enjoy, here in Manhattan Beach. Love to hear from classmates!

Many changes have come and gone since our 20th reunion. I'm divorced, reconnected with an old friend from college, co-parenting my 14 year old, and working at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute. My mom passed away this year, but my dad is still going strong. I'm so sorry I won't be there for the 30th reunion. I'll be at a family wedding instead. Have a great time!

Really enjoyed seeing so many classmates for the 30th. Seemed surreal. Anyway, continuing to live in beautiful Alexandria, VA (just outside of Wash D.C.), and having a blast raising my 3 daughters. Awhile ago, I found my professional niche as a real estate appraiser/reviewer and simply enjoy what I do. Take care all!
Have been living in back Santa Monica for 14 years after living in New York City for the previous 9 years. Married to a wonderful New Yorker and we are the proud parents of an 8 year old daughter. After Samohi, I went to UCLA school of engineering, then Night Law School at Loyola Law School while engineering by day. Thank God I did not meet my wife until my 4th year of law school in '85 which kept the grade point average up. Four kids later, lots of kids soccer games and almost 20 years later, we are still living in Malibu. I am still working in Santa Monica at Cislo & Thomas LLP as an Intellectual Property Attorney(Patent Lawyer) and living the dream. I miss all my Samohi friends and wish the best of success to all. Working at Third and Wilshire, I see the great changes in Santa Monica and look forward to visiting with any returning friends. God bless and hope to see you at the next reunion. Dan Cislo

San Francisco, CA, 94110
Wow, 20 years! I moved to San Francisco to go to college and fell in love with
the Bay Area, and stayed on. I've been working in Financial Services marketing
for most of that time. I remember some really good times from Samohi: the quad,
the pool, some great teachers -- and most of all -- people I wished I'd kept
in touch with. I hope to renew some friendships at the 20 year reunion. See
you there!
I live in Northern California, and work as a legal secretary. After spending years in a commune, I married and had a daughter (now 10). I just visited Malibu High and was shocked at how little it had changed! All 9th grade class photos are up on the wall in the office, and those ugly blue lunch tables are still there. I wish I had more memories of Samohi, but I got out of there as soon as I could!

Hi everyone! I have agreed to be the representative for the 30 year reunion for the class of 1977. Pretty funny since I was not very involved with school back in 1977 (many of you probably do not even remember me) lol. We will post information on this website regarding the reunion very soon. As the date gets closer, the reunion committee may contact you to verify your address information. If you have any memory books, commencement lists or lists from previous reunions, we would love to borrow them! I'm sure that our 30 year reunion will be a blast! Looking forward to seeing all of you again.

I'm married with two great kids Megan, who's 24 and in the film biz, and Daniel, who's 22 and in the music biz. We left LA for the white picket fence thing, but our kids headed immediately back there after high school. After graduating from Samo . . . wayyy after . . . I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Anthropology. I work in adult education, coordinating our English language program. It's a perfect fit.
I'm living in San Jose and working for Hewlett-Packard in Palo Alto. I'd really like to hear from a fellow Samohi alum.
After all these years i still spend most of my time in Santa Monica. I've worked in my Family's Real Estate business on Main Street for the past 25 years. I've been married 19 years to a lovely Brooklyn girl named Penny and have a 15 yr old daughter, Arielle, who attends Concord High in Santa Monica. We are excited about our upcoming move to Topanga and my Family still has the "Ranch" for the occasional party. My annual highlight is a summer camping trip with Samo buddies B.Geisler, J.McShane, B.Merrihew, J.Rainey, M.Rosen, B.Trabold,T.Trumbull(honorary),GTwitchell and occasionally D. Mackay & A.Nevarez
My husband Steve (Venice '74) and I finally left SoCal in 2002. We packed up the 2 cats and moved here to Honolulu, fulfilling the dream we had on our first visit here to meet his parents, who also live here. I work in the largest ad agency in Honolulu as a Senior Production Artist. We live in the Hawaii Kai area. (If you've ever been to Oahu, it's right before you get to Hanauma Bay). You may remember me as the football team stat girl Jr. and Sr. years, and the first girl at Samo to ever ride the football team bus! Not as fun as it sounded! I would LOVE to hear from anyone who remembers me!
Hard to believe we graduated 30 years ago! Since 1985, I've been living in the Washington, DC area (Potomac, MD)relocating to work at the Patriot Center, a 10,000 seat sports arena on the George Mason University campus becoming General Manager in 1988. I married my wonderful wife Meredith in 1989 and we have two great kids, Natalie, age 14, and starting high school this year and Grant, age 7, who reads the box scores every morning just like his father.

Hi. My name is Karen Hagerty Williams. I graduated in the class
of 1977. My email ID is karen.williams@telops.gte.com. I would
love to hear from fellow classmates. I am looking forward to the
class reunion scheduled for August. I now live in Grapevine, Texas
(close to Dallas), as I was transferred in 1989 by GTE. It was
quite an adjustment, and I've been busy...got married, had Josh,
now 4, and got divorced. All is wonderful, although I miss CA
and get home every chance I get. deceased This is Mike's wife, Liz, sending this message to all SAMOHI grads. My beautiful,
creative, energetic and loving husband fought a tough battle with cancer, but,
unfortunately, died on February 15, 2007. He leaves two amazing children and
me. If any of you have any funny stories, fond memories, whatever, please email
me so that I can share them with the kids. We will always miss Mike's love of
music, life, family and friends. Thanks, Liz Harris
From the class of '77 "Best Dressed": I miss all my friends that I played
volleyball, drank on the beach, and danced in the quad with, and all the wonderful
young women that I grew to love. I miss you all. After living in West and regular
Hollywood while working in the restaurant industry, my husband, Bobby Richter,
Samohi class of '71, recently moved to Beaverton, Oregon. No volleyball now,
and not much drinking, but I'm still dancing!

keep in touch. It would be nicce to here from anyone who remembers me. Take

I would love to contact some old classmates. Mary Hagman, Shairose Jivani, Amarie Bush, Barbara Ahrling, and whoever else remembers me and wants to reconnect. Please get in touch. I live in California, Kern County to be specific, with my husband and two kids. Be sure to let me know who you are on the subject of your E-mail, can't be too careful you know. Looking forward to the next reunion to see everyone. God Bless.
I eschewed the call of the bright lights, fame, and glamour of Broadway (actually,
there WAS no call, but let's not go there) for a career in education. Turns
out it was a good choice. Since 1987, I've been an English teacher, both in
middle school (AKA: The deepest, darkest pit of hell) and high school. Currently,
I run a computer lab and reading program at an inner-city high school in Los
Angeles. I married the love of my life in 1996...no kids, but more cats and
dogs than the law probably allows. We are happy...I am happy...I hope all of
you are, too!
I tumbled into the theme park design business 18 years ago an have been doing
it ever since. First with Disney and now with Universal Studios. I've been happily
married for 17 years and have three wonderful kids, Chase (10), Tanner (6),
and Candi (3). Lived in Japan twice and we're currently living in Florida, but
looking forward to getting back to California soon.
Spent five years at UCLA studying Geography and Psychobiology only to learn
I was more interested in Number Theory and Particle Physics. Have been authoring
a book on the subject entitled, "The Quantum Codex" due for publication in early
2008.
Hello!
After Samohi I spent 13 years at UC Berkeley (A.B. 1981, PhD 1987, then 2
years as a postdoc and one as a researcher). In 1990 I finally escaped and moved
home to the L.A. area. Now I do astrophysics for NASA at JPL and live in Culver
City with my wife Lisa and our daughter Madeleine (born 9/9/98). I've been to
the South Pole twice, jumped out of an airplane, worked on NASA's SETI project,
several radio telescopes, and several space missions, ridden a bicycle across
the U.S, plus a few other interesting things, but the most fun and challenging
thing I've ever done is trying to help raise a child. We have another daughter
due in February (2003), and Madeleine is very excited about becomng a big sister.

Hi, everyone! I got married in 1980 and my husband and I owned and operated
a telecommunications business in Culver City for about 13 years. In '97, we
sold our business and moved just outside of Joplin, Missouri to start over again.
Our then 16 year old daughter thought it was a death sentence, but she has since
recovered and married another California transplant last year. It took us about
5 years to adjust to rural life, but now we love it. I get back to CA to visit
family about every two years - and a week is just enough time to spend in L.A.!
Corte Madera, CA After graduating from UCLA in '81, I spent 16 years in advertising and marketing.
I've been married and living in the Bay Area since '88, and now am full-time
mom to sons Max(12) and Henry(9), and daughter Natalie (3).
Life's been good after graduation. My career path took me back to music and sound engineering, where for the past 17 years I've been a senior audio mixer at NBC here in Burbank. In addition to various stints in rock 'n' roll bands (guitar, mandolin, keyboards), I've composed music for some local and syndicated shows on NBC4.
I'm happily married to my beautiful wife Raven, and we live on an 8 acre horse ranch in Agua Dulce. I have only good memories of my years at Samohi, life's too short for anything less. I hope life's been good to all of you, the people I knew, and those I never had the pleasure of knowing and wish I did.
Please don't hesitate to send an E-mail!
I'm happily living on the Monterey Peninsula with my wife Anne Marie and children
Kyle (15), Drew (11) and Celeste (10).

While I actually graduated in '76, it was a year ahead of schedule for the purpose of being a ski bum with my ol' buddy, Cheryl Gould. I ultimately chose a more conventional life and got a BA and an MA in music (only somewhat more conventional...) The music business being what it is...I am now an executive recruiter for Heidrick & Struggles. I have been married for 13 years and enjoy Bay Area life. Chuck and I travel quite a bit and engage in as many music activities as we can fit in. Would love to hear from any old friends, feel free to e-mail. All the best to you!

Los Angeles, CA 90027 Hello Friends! I've been on the road lately...My husband, Marc, and I traveled
to Angola in November 2002 and distributed 960 wheelchairs to land mine victims
and people afflicted with polio. I was moved to tears everyday. Our voyage was
very long and grueling, but worth every moment and would do it again. We also
participated in mobil eye clinics in El Salvador. During a four day span we
visited four villages, set up eye clinics, and helped over 1700 people! We plan
to visit El Salvador again this summer, and are trying to organize a corrective
surgery trip to Mongolia. I am having the time of my life. Anyone interested?
As always, I hope everyone is happy and healthy and welcome email from all classmates.
Unfortunately our class didn't have a 25th reunion, so let's look forward to
our 30th! Until my next transmission, live life to the fullest!

Luigi (Lou) SELI, Class of '77 luseli@gmail.com Currently working in wireless
communications - sold my internet business. I have a wonderful wife, Lisa, and
four great kids - Giovanna, Nico, Giancarlo, and Mia. If anyone remembers just
who the heck I am from back in those high school years, please get in touch.
Ciao!
I'm living in Santa Monica and working at UCLA in the Department of Surgery,
married to Eleanor and now have 2 kids, Mia 4 and Antonio 2... my new passion
is surfing.... see you at Point Dume and PV Cove. Hello to former water polo
stars and other alums!
Actually I graduated from Olympic High in '76 but consider Samohi my high school.I went there for 10th gr.and only remember people from there and Lincoln Jr.I don't have a year book to reminisce with.I left S.M. in 1979 and lived in Europe,Santa Cruz (UCSC -Art/Photo),Venezuela,Santa Cruz again(UCSC GRAD.school-teaching cred.)and am now in No.Ca. in Mt. Shasta. I teach Kdg./1st grade. I married in 1987 and have 2 kids (6 & 10 yrs. old in 2000). Hung around SM after High school for a few years, then settled down and got
married. After 22 years of marriage, saw the light at the end of the tunnel,
now happily divorced. I have a grown daughter (Candice - 23 years old in 2008)
and a 9 year old son (Dylan) THIS WILL MEAN SOMETHING TO ANYONE WHO KNEW ME.
I live in ACTON, CA. I have been working as a financial controller for a downtown
L.A. lawfirm for about 14 years. Sad about the loss of some friends, but keep
in touch with some survivors (Mark Popkin (Poppy), Drew Hieatt & a couple others.
Much partying in HS fogs some of my memory, but would love to hear from you
if we knew each other!
Hi, I graduated from UCLA in 1981 and then UCSD Medical School and am now
practicing OB/GYN in the Denver area. I have been in Colorado for 14 years and
love it. I have 2 sons, 15 and 17. Would love to hear from you...This is updated
9/05.
After graduating from Samohi I went to El Camino College and then to San Jose
State University. I am married with two children and live in San Jose, CA. I
work in biotechnology for Arbor Vita Corp. as a Associate Scientist. I was on
the Samohi wrestling team and was the head coach of Monta Vista High School
in Cupertino CA for three years. I have been a High School Wrestling Ref for
the last 11 years and run my own wrestling club. I still wrestle and have won
a national championship in veterans wrestling. I am looking forward to the next
reunion.
Well, after graduating from Samohi I went on to USC where
I continued to excel in football and track and field. After leaving
USC I played 14 wonderful years with the Denver Broncos. Along
the way I also achieved a little fame and fortune, a beautiful
wife and two wonderful children. I would love to hear from Samohi
alumni from '77. Greetings Fellow Alumni! My teenage daughters Andrea and Erica, our Norwegian
Elkhound, four Bengal cats and I enjoy a fulfilling life in Reno/Tahoe. I was
extremely fortunate to be home for many years raising our daughters, chaperoning
field trips and leading Girl Scout Troops. I'm currently employed by the Second
Judicial District Court, and also continue working pro bono as a Court Appointed
Special Advocate, representing abused and neglected children (the most personally
enriching endeavor next to being Mom). It would be fun to reconnect with old
friends! You might remember me as a Sergeanette Captain, out TP'ing after Friday
night football games and Red Vest Pizza. What great times! All the best to everyone,
and I hope to see you at a reunion.
I graduated from UC Berkeley in 1980, then spent 5 years at MIT as a grad
student in Comp. Sci. although I didn't finish my PhD. Got married in 1981.
Four children ('84, '86, '89, '91). Worked at Bell Labs in NJ, then started
a sign business, currently (2007) not working for pay. I run a website (Distributed
Proofreaders). Divorced in 2002. Still living in NJ.
Jennifer SVENDSEN Delaney, Class of '77 My daughters and I live on an acre with a dog and two cats. Our most recent
addition to the family are two horses. I guess I've always been a farm girl/tom
boy at heart. In Dec, I graduated with my MA from CU in Creative Writing and
am working on a novel (one of many - maybe this one will get published!) and
I also freelance. I am also choreographing an original rock opera to be produced
locally, called "Mary Magdalene." After all the years in the cities (Phx, NY
& LA) I am pleased to be treasuring the splendors of nature and a more solitary
existence. Blessings and wishes for joy and love to all!
NO ONE IS MORE PROUD AND HAPPPY TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH SAMOHI THAN I, AND IT
IS NOT FOR THE GOOD (BAD?) TIMES WE ALL HAD, BUT FOR THE TIMES AHEAD AND PRESENTLY.
I HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT OUR CLASS WAS A SPECIAL BREED, YET TO SEE AND READ
ABOUT EVERY ONE WHO HAS EXCELLED AND PROSPERED IN THEIR LIVES IS TRUELY UPLIFTING
AND LIFE ENFORCING. IF YOU REMEMBER ME AT ALL IT WAS FOR MY WRITING AND CLOWNING.
IN REAL LIFE I HAVE BEEN THE FATHER TO MALLORY LEE FOR GOING ON TWENTY-ONE YEARS.
I HAVE WORKED IN PUBLIC SALES FOR EVER AND I AM NOW IN THE GOLF INDUSTRY. I
HAVE A WONDERFUL LIFE AND THANK EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO INSPIRE AND AND DELIGHT
ME WITH YOUR ASSOCIATION. I WISH I HAD MORE CONTACT WITH EVERY ONE WHO WAS IMPORTANT
TO ME IN 1977 AT SAMOHI BUT AT LEAST YOU KNOW NOW THAT YOU HAD AND HAVE A GREAT
INFLUENCE ON THE AURA OF OUR CLASS. STAY HAPPY AND WELL.
I am married with one darling little girl, age 4, and working in Calabasas CA at a private school as HR Director! I went to college atage 29 to get my BA in Psychology (I was too busy trying to be a professional dancer). I'd love to hear from old friends!
Graduated from UCSB and taught for a year or two at the same school as my
then roommate Fred Blattner. Left there for a career in summer camping in Brentwood,
CA. Married in 1994 to my wonderful wife Kim and we had a daughter. Up and moved
to Portland Maine in 1998 and began working at an independant school in the
Boston area. We has since added Julia, Bridget and most recently Archer who

Turnage Wilson, and my twelve year old son Jeremy. I have a twenty-three year
old son, David, who is living on his own. I work for a non-profit coordinating
a mentoring program for teen parents. We enjoy playing with our dogs, and enjoying
the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
I have 2 wonderful adult children. I'm going to be a Grandma in October 2007.
I'm getting married next month. I'm a Dispatcher for the Police Department in
Madison, IN.

I moved up to the Bay Area in 1982, got married to wife #1 in
'83 (a "Valley" girl)(I'm so ashamed), had daughter
#1 in 1985 (Amanda*), had daughter #2 in 1988 (Kelly**), got divorced
in 1996 (best thing I've ever done for myself) and... in 1997
went and married- not the baby-sitter, but her best friend!
In the Bay Area I worked for Xerox as a Field Service Representative
(Tech Rep) for four years. Now I'm an Aviation Maintenance Instructor
(sounds impressive, huh?) for a large US airline based in San
Francisco- we used to call ourselves the Friendly Skies, but let
me tell 'ya that sure doesn't apply around my office!
That's probably more than you wanted to know (since you don't
remember me anyway) so I'll stop here, but if 'ya want more, drop
me a line and I'll be happy to fill 'ya in on all the gory details.
