I moved to Inglewood in my senior year graduating from Morningside H.S. I also graduated from El Camino College. I was a Stewardess for American and then Pan Am before marrying Bill Miller who was living in China Lake, CA, serving his Navel commitment having gone through the NROTC program while getting his Engineering Degree at Ohio State University. We have raised our family of three children in Conejo Valley (Newbury Park and Thousand Oaks)and resided here for 41 years. I ran an office for several Psychotherapists. We enjoy traveling, sailing, (we even crewed for our friends between the Azores and Portugal), skiing, we used to SCUBA dive, and hope to get an RV soon. I have been doing our genealogy for several years and we would like to visit the areas that some of the ancestors help settle. We will soon have our fourth grandchild and we love taking the older ones to Catalina where we spend a lot of time each summer. They look forward to seeing all of their friends at Eme! rald Bay and the Isthmus.

After being retired for about five years, I have a difficult time verbalizing the workd "work." A high point during this time was turning down two interim Chief of Police positions. I am grateful to be in a position to be able to just say "No thank you." During the past few years I have been back packing with oldest son Doug, a high school English teacher, in the British Isles, Ireland,France and Italy. In 2002 we will visit Australia, New Zealand and the sourrounding areas. While not hiking, my wife Diane and I have been traveling in the RV throughout most of the US, stopping in CA and Maryland to visit our grandchildren. Each year one of the grandchildren vists with us for a few weeks at our mountain home in CO. While in CA I manage to ride along with my son Chris, a police officer in Azusa. Before he lets my in the car, he admonishes me that "He is in charge." I can not imagine why he would make such a statement. He is now working narcotics and is a member of the SW! ! AT team. As the leaves of the Aspen trees are almost gone, Diane and I will be planning our next RV trip to commence before the real cold weather hits the mountains.

Camarillo CA

I have lived in Camarillo since 1964, where I raised three sons. I am now single but am still surrounded by family and four grandchildren. Kaya, Alexis, Sean and Sara. My son Rick is a dentist in Camarillo, Scott is a pastor with Calvary Chapel in Tucson and Erik is a musician/composer and recording artist. After many years as a housewife, artist and golfer I started a career in banking in 1989. In 2003 I left the Corporate Banking Center of City National Bank and was appointed Regional Vice President for Business Development with First California Bank. My passion is still painting. My studio is located at Studio Channel Islands Art Center on the campus of CSUCI. I was a founding member of the studio and the annual art scholarship for CSUCI art students was recently named the Pat Richards Art Scholarship. I was also one of the founding members of the Cal State University CI Foundation and served as Chair of the Foundation for three years. This is all pretty interesting s! ince I only had one year of college at the University of Washington! I have been blessed with a life full of new adventures and wonderful friends. I look forward to the day when I can have the time to relax, travel a bit more and watch my grandchildren grow up. My golf game needs a lot of work since my week-ends are usually spent at my studio so I just gaze at my old trophies until I can find time to practice. I owe my success in art to the marvelous art department at Samohi. Lucille Brown Greene, who was head of the art department in those days, taught me so much and through her I was given a scholarship to Chouinard Art School. Our days at Samohi were truly "those happy days". None of us realized the turmoil and cultural changes that were just ahead of us. I would love to hear from my friends whom I have lost touch with and I hope to attend the 50 reunion this year.
