Although I won't be endorsing any over-priced roca-wear, or have a witty e-mail address, I can safely say that one can have a future without these aforementioned graces.
If some mysterious power told me that I could put everything I wanted to say about my memories from SAMOHI on this page, there wouldn't be any room left for others to even leave their names! But I'll try to keep it as short as possible and as sweet as a Coca-Cola slurpee (no rip off ICEEs) on a Friday afternoon.
SAMOHI has given me friendships that will outlast the test of time, and memories that will administer such tests. At times it went by too slow (i.e, French, Stat, and any event associated in the Library). And sometimes it was like it just appeared momentarily and left (like common sense within the administration). However, they are and will continue to be the only true thing we've gotten from SAMOHI. So, it's are responsibility to OUR COMMUNITY and ourselves to keep these memories alive with those we shared them with. This way we can never truly lose the spirit of SAMO.
As for my future plans, I really don't know. SMC is a cozy place, but the world extends far beyond Santa Monica. But I can assure you that one of my many passions will lead me to...
-program the games you play.
-write the books you read.
-(somehow, good or bad) be on the frontpage of your newspaper.
-write the laws you follow.
Or, at best, reply to your e-mail promptly.
And one more thing: If you knew me in any way, shape (ha ha), or form, e-mail me! Chances are I'd like to hear from you!
All of my love and wishes to the class of 99.
P.S: TO ALL OF 'DA HOMIES' (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE), I know what you are thinking: "TOO MUCH FRED FOR ONE ALUMNI PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

While it only being less than a month after graduation, I have been thinking of what the class of 1999's reunion will be like. Summer is here and those of us who have graduated have closed one chapter in our lives. High school is history. We have our entire lives ahead of us. Some plan to work immediately.
Others plan on going on hiatus before deciding what to do with their lives. There are people like me who will attend college in the fall. On the morning of June 18, 1999, I did not get to say goodbye to most of my friends. I have some of their phone numbers but there are countless people that I might not ever see again, that is, until our reunion. Everyone was swept up in the excitement of graduation that a plan to have a reunion was never devised.
I do not like the idea of having a reunion ten, fifteen or twenty-five years from now. In fact, I would like to have a reunion in five years. I am sure you people know what it was like to see old friends after ten or fifteen years. Sadly, some never see their friends. The story of Mr. Jimenez not being able to attend two of his reunions echo in my mind.
Sadly, some people cannot attend (i.e. Jimenez). Or, somehow they pass away, only to be told that that person died long ago. If there is any way that the class of 1999 can have a reunion soon, I would like to be a part of it. If I have to call people, I will do it. If I have to fly across the nation, I will do it. If I have to swim across the Atlantic to notify people, I will do it.
I made so many friends from first grade at Franklin through twelfth grade at SAMO. To me, the journey was more fulfilling than the destination. I hope that whoever reads this understands the importance of a reunion to me and to those who feel similarly. Please email me back with any information possible. You can also call me @ 323-587-1437. |

Hello everyone. Well, as I said during our grad nite, I am on my way to my Nobel Peace Prize... working with the youth of santa monica at... you guessed it SAMOHI. I am the O House (samo is divided into small schools, called "houses") Student Outreach Specialist and I work with a caseload of 20 students who are struggling and need inspiration and lots of advising. I am still dancing and doing some modeling/acting work here and there. Living in Marina del Rey and loving SAMO, still. guess ya'll didn't vote me "most spirited" for nothing. I miss SAMO SONGs and ASB alum, all my friends and even those jealous beings who the kids still call "haters". See you all at the reunion in a few yrs. oh and guys, IM STILL SINGLE, by choice of course.

Since SAMO, I've lived in England and Canada. It's weird to say the place I was born is home to me and in a way its not. What makes it home is the memories I have of High School, the people I knew, the people who made me laugh or those that made me cry. Thank you, I will never forget them. If you see me around, that is when I am, say hello, in the six years that have passed since graduation, the world has changed, talking to any of you would just make me happy. Class of '99 Rules! |

It's been 10 years, but in mushroom time it's been more like 23 years. don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about, i saw most of you in santa barbra or Santa Cruz. After high school I had an illustrious career in the male model industry you might have seen me on the cover of GQ (the inside cover that is, I'm in the passenger side of the BMW with tinted windows, you can see my hand). modeling was a fantastic period of my life, as many of you can attest to how incredibly good looking I was, which because of the intimidation factor is the reason I was still a virgin until June of 2007. however this was such a fast life, and it eventually spiraled out of control when I got hooked on huffing magic markers in the back of Korean restaurants.
From there, my life turned around as I came across a rose that bloomed out of season when a gorgeous fox named Candy spotted me freshening up in the woman's bathroom of the Circle Bar on Main St (to my defense, I thought it was a unisex bathroom). she took me under her wing and introduced me to the exciting world of San Fernando Film. I was a towel boy on many films, some of which won many awards (like best new-Cummer, and best O-Face). but I was fed up with being a towel boy on those films due to a misfire from one of the male actors that hit me square on the forehead, I had enough. by this time it was 2002, and I needed a vacation.
So I went to Afghanistan, not to fight you understand, but you can't beat the deals on poppies over there. however, they didn't appreciate my pro-American views and I was asked to leave after the head mofo of the village I was staying in caught me seducing his goat. luckily enough for a pack of lucky's and a doobie I was able to sneak aboard an army transport plane back to the states.
I hitchhiked around and took the train when I could catch one (those things are a lot faster than they look). after several go-nowhere jobs I was arrested in Florida for throwing baby alligators into cat shelters. and spent 6 months in Pensacola County Jail. it is here that I met Carlito, he was a clown in the circus that had enough of a chubby kid laughing at him, and well, you can figure the rest out, just know that an ice cream cone can make an impression if placed in the right location. so he offered me a job and I was a circus freak for a couple of years. I let my hair and beard get real long got toasted off of goldschlagger and magic markers and just ran around a cage while nice folks threw quarters at me, (till i wound up in construction management it was still the highest paid job i ever had), even more than selling fake pot brownies to the catholic school kids, but the ringleader had enough of me when i went off on him on a bad marker trip (i got the cheap office depot store brand, big mistake) and i wound up in Virgina where i was a dog fight promoter.
i won't go into details but basically Mike Vick's dog kicked my dog's ass and so i ratted him out, i'm not usually a rat but i didn't care for the way he ran his offense anyway so, ya know what the hell. and so there i was again febuaray 2007, broke, devilishly handsome, addicted to magic markers, tylonal liquid gels, and listerine. and no future in sight. and then i met this stunning beauty named Backdoor Betty, though to this day i don't understand the nickname, she was a dancer from Vegas visiting her family in Virgina and i wowed her. we married in april of 2007 and two months later she got drunk enough to be intimate with me. it was like firecrackers surrounding my body for 73 seconds. and wouldn't ya know i knocked her up on the first try. i moved back to Vegas with her, in a great 3 bedroom house on Warm Springs and Paradise. all was normal and terrific but b/c of the preganancy, she couldn't dance any longer at Cheetah's so i was forced to get a regular square job bulding the City Center here in Vegas. in March of 2008, Betty gave birth to twins, i was so proud. and so were the nurse's at the hospital when we donated the kids to the safe baby drop off. it was only right since Betty was only 18 and i am way too into my own life to have kids; (it wasn't till later that we found out that we could have sold the kids on the black market for a profit, you can sell anything on Craigslist, oh well, i have more swimmers in the pouch). and so here i am living in Vegas, after all my adventures on the road living a humble desert life. been marker and tylenol free for 6 months now, so pray for me. i hope all who read this have had as much fun as i have in the last decade, and many blessings to all those who used to pass by in the halls of great SAMOHI and mad-dawg me, not invite me to your parties, and cover your tests when i tried to cheat off you. Till next time, ta ta! |

| Lots of things have changed since High School. Met some of the most amazing and most wonderful people. I currently live in Schaumburg, IL where I attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with my B.S. and currently started my first year of Medical School at Finch Medical School. Hope all is well with all of you! |
