I work in international business, love the travel, and still live on the Westside. I am also currently working with a program in the LA Unified School District called Students for a Better Tomorrow that teaches business skills to high school students while helping to pay for their college educations.

Instead of becoming famous I decided to do something meaningful with my life. After getting serious about God at UCLA, I became a campus minister first at SMC, then UCLA, and now I've crossed over the enemy tracks to lead the ministry at USC. My beautiful wife Lori and I have one son named Jake, born in 1997. We live in the pearl of the oyster that is called South Central and we love our work. I was thrilled to see you all at the reunion. I live in the Bay area and work in downtown Berkeley as a graphic designer for an educational non profit designing online college courses.
After high school I went to San Diego State for 2 years. Then I studied abroad in Madrid and traveled around Europe. Then I went back to SMC for a year, and then somehow I got in to UC Berkeley (I slipped the dean a fiver). Went there for 2 years where I reunited with old drinking buddy and samo high alumni Ryan Alexiev. Finally got my BA in Latin American Studies and worked as a Graphic Designer for several years. Then I got tired of working for the man and bought a one way ticket to South America, where I was for 9 months wandering around learning about the world.
An here I am working side by side with Alexiev, designing web pages. Perhaps I will move to Barcelona.

I'm still running an architecture firm in LA, but I have continued to paint, write and create many other works. feel free to drop me a line anytime.

Just started my own swim team, Westside Aquatics, in Santa Monica. We practice at the new pool at Crossroads.

Currently doing visual fx for a TV PILOT for FOX called Fringe. Kind of a new X-Files. Last few years worked on Mission Impossible 3, Lost and Cloverfield. Got married in 2005 to my lovely wife, Janice. Went on honeymoon to Aruba. Won the Primetime Emmy for VFX in 2005 for Lost. Lived in Hawaii for over a year. Moved back and had a baby girl, Kaitlyn Rae in 2007. Looking forward to reunion next year!

Hello to all my fellow Vikings, it has been a long time. After graduation, I left California and moved to Louisiana to care for my grandmother and to work on the family farm. When she passed, away I moved to New Orleans, land of the Mardi Gras party, to go to school as I promised my grandmother I would. I graduated from Xavier University in Education and then went on to get two masters degrees, one in education and one in history. When I moved to the country, the only contact to SAMOHI were my high school pictures and my year book for memories, except for the occasional phone call to Guy Greenbaum (also class of 89). I recently moved to the San Diego area with my husband (Mike) and 2 year old (Jesse) after living in Northern California for the past 10 years. I am currently working as a Special Education teacher for blind and visually impaired children.

My wife Kristin and I are living in the Bay Area, but missing So Cal badly. We're the "Law and Order" couple, I'm a San Francisco police officer and she's a deputy District Attorney for San Mateo County. If anyone visits the Haight/Ashbury area, you might see me patrolling (especially if it's in the middle of the night!). I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying life!

I have been employed as a Case Worker with The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health for over three years now since earning a Masters Degree in Social Work a few years ago. I have future career aspirations to transfer to a woman's jail facility to work as a Forensic Mental Health Case Worker when there is an opening at DMH. I am certified as fluent in Spanish with The LA County Department of Mental Health and was able to pass the fluency examination all due to the junior high school and high school Spanish classes that I took.
I moved out of Los Angeles County and have a beautiful and spacious one-bedroom apartment with air conditioning just a few blocks from the beach. After studying Christianity for a few years and realizing that I would never want to become a Christian, I studied Orthodox Judaism for a few years, finding the Jewish Laws and customs fascinating. My one and only trip to Israel changed my life permanently, and I am now studying Islam, finding it very interesting as well and deciding whether to incorporate it into my life. I will soon be enrolled in an Arabic class and a Sign Language class during my free time. For a while, my main hobby was cooking, and I was taking a lot of cooking classes for some time, but have since lost interest (at least for now). I am keeping quite busy with my hobbies and am also pursuing a home study professional certification program as well which could lead to a new career, either full or part-time work in the evenings and/or on the weekends. Things have worked out well for me, and I may decide to pursue a Doctorate or some other degree of interest in the future.

My wife Krista and I just moved to Pacific Palisades. Krista teaches second grade in the Palisades and I continue to practice law for the City of Los Angeles. Recently I was promoted to be one of 18 special prosecutors in the City's new Neighborhood Prosecutor Program. Within days I was transferred out of downtown's City Hall and into my new "office" in the LAPD Devonshire division. Now instead of going to court I spend my time "rolling" out into the field with officers to help solve crime and investigate cases. Its an exciting challenge. I continue to socialize with my fellow alums, Afshin Hakim, Kevin Blank, David Drucker, Brandon Kashfian, Jordan Hoffman and Erik Kavalevsky. Hope everyone is well and happy! Peace.

I was married to Julie O'Brien on August 3, 2002. Julie is from Dublin, Ireland. We will make our home in Santa Monica where I will continue to teach at Samohi and coach their water polo team.

After Samohi I went to San Jose State. I majored in Aviation and flight instructed for three years after graduation. I am currently a captain for a small jet operator. I am based in El Paso, TX but commute to Santa Monica on my days off.

My husband of 8 years and I live in Maple Grove, MN. We moved here in March of 1999 from the East Coast. Maple Grove is a great city just 12 miles NW of Minneapolis. We have 3 cats and a great house. Alive and well in Lancaster, CA. Married with 2 kids, Kaleigh 11 and Bryan 7 1/2. Working part time as an instructional aid at my kid’s school and spending the rest of the time working on our property (1 1/2 acres). Tending the orchard, growing our own veggies and refereeing all the animals (1 horse, 3 goats, 6 cats and 3 dogs). Life is good but crazy.

We've been loving it up in Northern Cal for over 3 years now. I got my Masters in education last year and work at a nearby community college. Still raising two beautiful children ages 3 1/2 and 6 with my husband Eric. Love to hear from any old pals!

Hi guys. I missed the reunion but hopefully I can make the next one...I'm curious what everyone looks like now. My wife Krista and I have 3 kids (5, 7 and soon to be 9) and we have been married for almost 11 years now. We live outside of Houston, Texas where Krista grew up and have lived here since 1996. I am in the US Air Force now since my stint in the US Marine Corps ended and still enjoy the military but I do miss the Marine Corps. Krista is a real estate agent and is dabbling in investment now that all the kids are in school but remains around the home when the kids are here -for the kids’ mental well being of course-. I had planned on going into dentistry but God has indeed guided me differently and therefore I remain happily in the military...the only place that'll put up with me. We look forward to more of the same: working on steadily improving our marriage, raising the "crumb snatchers" and making enough money to buy that ocean front property in Arizona that continues to look more and more promising. I'm happy to hear so many of you are doing so well! I'm still here in Malibu...a long time ago I graduated from Percussion Institute of Technology in Hollywood and did the music thing for years, played in about 50 bands, been on a few tours (crappy punk rock tours yay) and played on an album. Eventually had to get a "real career" so I joined the Ventura County plumbers/pipefitters union. Now plumbing supports my drumming. And my girlfriend Nina. And my daughter (dog) Artimus. I still consider myself a surfer but really have no time to surf! I'm playing in a great band called 454 with Kevin Solomon, Donny Kulp, and bass virtuoso Barry Oakley Jr. I also still dabble in punk rock and play occasionally with the Bad Samaritans, yeah I know they're a valley band, so what!Anybody who wants to say wassup, please do! Hi, another update from me because I wanted to announce my first solo music CD. I've been a part of other CDs and bands, but this is my first solo venture. I wrote 9 songs and played a bunch of instruments on them. I'd be stoked if you checked it out. I've also been playing cello for songwriter, Jennifer Terran, and we just came back from a 2 week tour in Europe. I'm so appreciative that I'm able to be so involved with music. I'm still living in the beach community of Pierpont/Ventura Keys with husband and girls...now 6 and 8 years. I miss a lot of people from highschool and can't wait to reunite in '09. I have been happily married for 2 yrs now. My husband, Todd, is a staff sergeant and F-16 crew chief in the Air Force. Together, we have a beautiful son that was born Sept. 2002. Hello class of '89! I been happily married for 15 years to José Amilcar (class of 83). We have two wonderful children, Paola 12 and Diego 8 (...still pondering the idea of a third child). We are both educators. While I live in the South Bay, my work is very local. I am a fifth grade teacher at Edison Language Academy in Santa Monica. In August of 2004 I graduated with a Masters in Spiritual Psychology from University of Santa Monica. (Bet you didn't even know there is a University of Santa Monica! I sure didn't until about 4 years ago.) Now working on my second masters in Counseling Psychology in pursuit of a Marriage & Family Therapist license. Hi everyone. I'm still alive. Missed the reunion but I got the reunion photo abulm to see who came. I bought a house in L.A. wtih my mom. For those of you who remember, I use to live in a big green house on the corner of Michigan and 14th St. It is now a parking lot. No more hauntings from the cemetray. I am a Media Tech at the Ucla School of Nursing. Still single no kids. I have a neice, my sister Candice had a baby who will be two in November. God help us with the terrible twos. I have been a hairdresser for almost 10 years now and have probably serviced most of Santa Monica over the years! I still live close to the area despite a short lived move to the Bay Area!I have an 8 year old daughter, and a 2 year old son. My children are the best part of my life and the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me and I love being a mom! I didn't make it to the 10 year reunion, regretfully, as I have heard from so many that it was "....a blast!" I just wanted to drop by and let everyone know what I have been up to. I'm still at PacWest Bancorp the holding company for Pacific Western Bank and in June '08 I was promoted to Vice President of Financial Reporting. I started in banking back when I was a senior at Samohi and still enjoying it. Other than work, I like to travel going to my family's vacation house in Mexico and any other place that has a beach. I like spending time with my brothers, sisters, and their kids. I also enjoy going out with my friends. Well fellow class of '89 I want to hear from you, specially from Martin Sanchez and Juan Conchas.

I am an orthopaedic surgeon and an assistant professor at The University of Pittsburgh. I specialize in sports medicine and am currently the head team physician for the Pitt Men's Basketball Team and assistant team physician for the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's an awesome job, but California weather sure beats the Pittsburgh winters!! Hope all is well with everyone. I would love to hear from you!

Well how has everbody been doing? I know a lot of us have passed away already so the rest of you watch out. I have done to much to list since high school but I am currently working for Wang Global supporting the USPS network. I would really like to hear from any of you that remember me. I also want to know more about the reunion and who is going to show up.

I currently am working in Human Resources for the Dept of Army and right now we are temporarily located in Huntington, WV. My wife Jammie and I have 3 wonderful kids (Delaney-5, Ainsley-2 1/2 and Jeremiah-1). We are trying to move back to the Midwest and settle in around the KC area. I am going to try to make it to the reunion this year.

Gradudated Pepperdine University. Living in OC. Raising 5 (!) kids with wife Nicola. Currently Senior Creative Director at The Desigory, an advertising and marketing communications firm based in Long Beach, CA. Savoring the chaos of life.

After graduating from Samo, I went to college in Colorado to ski as much as possible! I graduated from Western State College of Colorado near Crested Butte ski resort. I came back to L.A. and since have started my own business, Y3K which I have now ran for the last 10 years. In 2005, I got married to Davina Valdez Weitman and now have a 15 month old son named Mason.

I am working in Human Resources at Universal Music Group in Santa Monica. I live in West LA with my boyfriend and 2 dogs. After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo I moved back to SM and started working in the entertainment industry. Life is very good and I hope everyone else is doing well.

As a 3rd generation Samohi alumni, I suppose I better get on board with the alumni program before my mother and grandmother dis own me. After Samo, I attended Concordia University and received degrees in promotional marketing and theatre. I've been married to my college sweety for 7 years now and we just bought a turn of the century Victorian in Upland, CA. I am a Reional Manager for a company that does financial hardware and digital imaging for banks and government agencies. Hope all is well and sure miss the cool ocean breeze!

Living in Atlanta, Georgia raising my two daughters age 16 & 6. I moved to Atlanta two years ago along with my Paint contracting business.

Greetings - It is good to be back in California. My wife Liberty and I recently moved back to be near family and friends. It also worked out for me to get back into the entertainment industry. I am currently working on LOST with another SAMO alum - Kevin Blank. We are working in visual effects... it is a blast. I came up to Oregon in 1992 to attenend U of O in Eugene. I Graduated in 1995 with a B. S. in Journalism. I am now an Account Executive for the Oregonian, The Daily newspaper in Portland.

I'm having the time of my life exploring this great big world of ours. I've been involved in the travel business for the past 9 years both as a flight attendant, and most recently as a tour operator leading tours around the world. In 2007 my travels took me to the Caribbean, Oman, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Ghana, South Africa, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Ukraine, the Galapagos Islands, Columbia, and Ecuador. This year I'll return to many of the same countries, but look forward to tours in Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Sweden, Guatemala, Hungary, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Looking forward to our reunion in 2009!
